BgF Summer school 1st part - registration

In spring this year, during the very successful workshop focused on metabarcoding of diatoms and phytoplankton, BIOLAWEB team announced this fantastic event Blue Green Future (BgF) Summer school. Its first part will take place at the Center for the Promotion of Science (CPN) and University of Belgrade, Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy - National Institute of the Republic of Serbia (UB-ICTM) from October 02–06, 2023. In addition, field exercises focused on eDNA sampling will be organized on several lakes in Serbia - Savsko lake (6th October), Plava banja (12th October) and Pečena Slatina (13th October). 

 

The program of the BgF Summer school includes: 

 

Plenary lectures by 

Dr Zlatko Levkov (Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Faculty of Biology, North Macedonia), 

Dr Frédéric Rimet (INRAE, France), and

Dr Martyn Kelly (Bowburn Consultancy, UK)

 

Workshop 1 – Introduction to bioinformatics (R programme with examples and R codes), by 

Dr Clarisse Lemonnier (INRAE, France), 

Dr Frédéric Rimet (INRAE, France), and 

Dr Benjamin Alric (INRAE, France)

Workshop 2 – eDNA with the focus on macrophytes by

Dr Andreas Ballot (NIVA, Norway)

Field exercises (Savsko Lake, Plava banja Lake, and Pečena Slatina Lake)

BgF Summer school is open for students, professors, scientists, and other interested stakeholders. Registration is free, but required.
