Our Project

The UB-ICTM in Serbia made a noticeable contribution to the study of biodiversity, freshwater ecology, and conservation of water bodies in South Eastern Europe. How to develop and intercalibrate indices that are following EU regulations for lakes and rivers monitoring, and how to apply modern DNA-based methodology are lacking knowledge.

The overall objective of BIOLAWEB is to address research and networking gaps between UB-ICTM and leading institutions at the EU level by significantly strengthening biomonitoring research through twinning with top-class partners. Staff exchange, common field and laboratory work, and a variety of courses will be used for an effective knowledge transfer from the partnering institutions to UB-IBCTM
